Venerable Wei Zhi, a Singaporean, was ordained locally in 2002 and is actively involved in community and welfare services. He currently serves as Honorary Secretary of Care for the Elderly Foundation (Singapore), an Institution of Public Character, and is also the Vice-President of Kwang Hua Buddhist Monastery and Board Member of Man Fut Tong Nursing Home.<\/span><\/p>

Venerable Wei Zhi co-founded Aranya Sangha Dana Fellowship Limited with Venerable Chuan Yu in 2020.<\/span><\/p>

Venerable Chuan Yu, a Singaporean, was ordained locally by Venerable Kwang Sheng in 2006. He studied under Lama Tsering Wangdu Rinpoche in Nepal since 2008. <\/span><\/p>

Venerable Chuan Yu was a social worker before ordination. Out of his strong conviction to help ageing monastics, especially those living alone, he co-founded Aranya Sangha Dana Fellowship Limited with Venerable Wei Zhi.<\/span><\/p>

Venerable Adhibalo was born in 1985 and ordained into the Theravada tradition of Thai Dhammayut sect at Santi Forest Monastery in Johor, Malaysia in 2008. He currently serves as a Religious Advisor to a few Buddhist organisations including BuddhistYouth Network, Singapore Polytechnic Buddhist Society \u200band Singapore Management University Dhamma Circle\u200b. He is also an advocate for inter-religious harmony and is an active member of Inter-Religious Organisation, Singapore\u200b and Harmony Circles Youth Steering Committee. He is a resident monk at Palelai Buddhist Temple.\u200b<\/span><\/p>

Hock Chye spent most of his career in the public service, including the Commissioner of Charities Office, Ministry of Manpower and the Agency of Integrated Care. He applied his experience and understanding of the regulatory landscape governing non-profit organisations, extensively to aid these organisations in governance and compliance. With a degree in Social Work and a minor in Technopreneurship, he combines his insights on social welfare and innovation to shape Aranya\u2019s mission of social service support for ageing monastics.<\/span><\/p>

Karen is a highly experienced Human Resource professional with over three decades of expertise in people performance consulting ranging from talent acquisition, identification, assessment to HR systems and processes. Her passion for discovering and developing talent, combined with her extensive experience, put her in good stead for offering valuable insights and guidance to organisations seeking to optimise their recruitment and talent management processes. Karen sees a mission in helping to unleash people\u2019s potential so as to lead a purposeful work-life.<\/span><\/p>

Karen is known for being an active volunteer with youth-related work in Buddhist organisations for the last 20 years. She currently manages BuddhistYouth Network as one of its Directors and continues to facilitate workshops to Buddhist youths in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and other parts of Asia.<\/span><\/p>

Shuo Mei established her 40-year career in Public Affairs, Customer Service and Public Education at the Central Provident Fund Board, the then-Ministry of Community Development Youth and Sports, and SingHealth. She was the Director of the Social Development Unit, before joining Singapore General Hospital as its first Director of Communications in 2004, and later took on the concurrent role as SingHealth\u2019s Group Chief Communications Officer until 2019. She was also the former Chief Executive Officer of the Singapore Cord Blood Bank.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Upon retirement, Shuo Mei volunteers actively with two social service agencies, which are Institutions of Public Character.<\/span><\/p>

Wai Chong is a practising community aged-care physician and the Founder-CEO of NWC Longevity Practice, a social enterprise providing aged care consultancy, training, research, and direct clinical services. He is recognised as a thought-leader in healthy ageing and caregiving with interests in community aged-care system development, primary care, case management, caregiver care and comprehensive needs assessment.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Prior to setting up NWC Longevity Practice, Wai Chong was the Chief of Clinical Affairs at Tsao Foundation. He is a member of the Review Board under the Vulnerable Adult Act since its inception, as well as the Board of Visitors under the Office of Public Guardian.<\/span><\/p>

He is currently also a Health Specialist with the Asian Development Bank, Medical Director of Home Nursing Foundation, and Singapore\u2019s InterRAI Fellow. He is a Board Member of Happee Hearts Movement, Care for the Elderly Foundation (Singapore) and The Compassionate Network.<\/span><\/p>

Outside his work as a medical professional, Wai Chong is a much sought-after speaker on Buddhist teachings and practice.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Bryan is the Executive Director for Care for the Elderly Foundation (Singapore), and has oversight of the day-to-day running of programmes which include Home Health Care, Home Personal Care and End-of-Life Care.<\/span><\/p>

Bryan graduated from the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and holds a Graduate Diploma in Social Work from SUSS. He has also completed a Master degree in Social Work in June 2024.<\/span><\/p>

Chong Leong is a senior community and social service professional with extensive experience in Singapore\u2019s community and social service landscape. His career spans various roles within statutory boards, national self-help groups, and private philanthropic foundations, where he has planned and organised programs for students, youth, and the general public. At a mid-career turning point, following a period of solo backpacking and overseas postgraduate studies, he experienced a deep realization of the suffering associated with aging, illness, and death. This inspired a shift into elderly and end-of-life care, where he provides frontline social work services in nursing homes and the palliative care sector.<\/span><\/p>

Chong Leong graduated from the National University of Singapore with a degree in Chinese Studies and later pursued his postgraduate studies at the Institute of Religion and Humanities at Tzu Chi University, Taiwan. Beyond his professional work, he is an active participant in social and humanities movements; he has led the “Eye \u00e9 City” series of activities and contributed to the production of short films and stage plays. He currently also serves as a volunteer in a palliative care organisation.<\/span><\/p>

Billy<\/span> Loh Rong Shun is a Registered Social Worker with more than 15 years of experience in counselling, community work, addiction recovery and adult education. Over the years, Billy<\/span> has had the privilege of supporting individuals and families through challenging periods, while also mentoring students and fellow professionals in the social service sector.<\/p>

Currently, Billy<\/span> works as a full-time social worker in a Family Service Centre. He also serves as an Adult Educator in various learning academies and institutions, contributing to the development of future social service professionals.<\/p>

Beyond his professional commitments, Billy<\/span> is passionate about giving back to the community. He volunteers with the Family Resource and Training Centre (under the Singapore Association of Social Workers), the Manjusri Secondary School Alumni Association, and Aranya Sangha Dana Fellowship Limited.<\/p>

Billy<\/span> strongly believes in the value of relationships, lifelong learning and creating a positive impact through service.<\/p><\/div>
