Aranya held our annual Gratitude at Vesak Charity Lunch on Saturday 17 May 2025 at SAFRA Toa Payoh’s Jubilee Garden Restaurant. Together with our strategic partner BuddhistYouth Network (BYN), it is a celebration of Aranya’s 5th anniversary and BYN’s 10th anniversary! The Guest of Honour was Dr Mohamad Maliki Bin Osman, Interfaith Adviser to BuddhistYouth Network, who shared about youths playing a vital role in community work.
The programme included performances on “Heart Sutra” and Teochew Opera “Crossing Mountain After Mountain” by Blue Lion Dharma Fun Club, as well as Buddhist hymns from music producer Brother Ng Kang Kee.
More than half of the collection of exquisite Buddhist artefacts and paintings put up for Silent Auction were successfully bid. Sangha members from three traditions led the guests to dedicate merits to all sentient beings.
